Walai Red Rice is a traditional rice variety from the Konkan, recognised by its naturally reddish bran layer, firm bite and distinctive earthy flavour.

POMPEi Walai Red Rice is minimally processed rather than heavily polished, allowing more of the grain’s natural character to remain.

Serve it with dal, coastal curries and vegetables, or simply with a little ghee. It is the kind of rice that does not need an elaborate recipe to belong on the table.
